LandFly is a blog magazine by Per-Ole Lind.
“Land Fly” is a direct translation of from a Danish proverb that says “Customs Follow or Country Flee” (Skik Følge eller Land Fly). It is referring to the nomadic life of a sojourner: Not finding home until the final destination. As Tom Waits puts it: “This world is not my home, I’m just a-travelling through”
The intention is to share snippets of life with people too remote to meet for coffee. (Can we meet soon for coffee anyway, please?)
It started as a travel-letter sent to friends and family while in Japan (2005-2010):
Back then, I combined diary-snippets, snapshots and illustrations in a small magazine format (distributed as PDF) for folks to print at home. With hope, it might reimerge as such. This blogging thing is not my favorite.
